A Tasty Bread Pudding Recipe

Breads are considered as staple food of people as they cannot live without such. This is molded and kneaded out from the flour-egg-yeast mixture until it is ready to be baked in the oven over specified heat and time. Once the breads are baked with accurate ingredients and formed using experienced hands, they will surely come out from the oven fresh and perfect.

But what happens when the breads are already a day old or stale? We cannot put our hearts to discard them for flies and insects to feast on. Instead of throwing the breads that are past its “best before date”, we can make something delicious and filling out from them. Surely we have heard about bread pudding all our lives but we do not know how to bake it. In this article, we will be taught about a recipe for bread pudding that is so simple to follow and put in the oven even if we do not have the hands of a pastry chef.

Bread pudding is a classic and sweet-tasting recipe that is passed on from one generation to another. This may be outgrown by a lot of individuals especially when mothers are cooking it every weekend, still people are yearning to have a slice of this pudding and enjoy every sumptuous bite of it. To make our taste buds have the satisfying bread pudding it ever tasted, we simply have to gather the listed ingredients below:

Ingredients
•    3 cups French bread, pinched in small pieces
•    2 cups whole milk
•    2/3 cups brown sugar
•    ¼ cup butter
•    3 pcs eggs
•    2 tsp cinnamon
•    ¼ tsp nutmeg
•    1 tsp vanilla
•    ½ cup raisins or dates

*If French bread is not available, any kinds of bread will do.

Instructions
1.    Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F.
2.    In a saucepan, pour in 1 cup of whole milk and heat it under medium heat until a film forms on the surface.
3.    Add in the remaining 1 cup of whole milk and butter. Stir until the butter melts.
4.    Cool the milk and butter mixture and set aside.
5.    Using an electric mixture beat in eggs and sugar. Add cinnamon and nutmeg and vanilla. Continue to beat for a minute then gradually add the milk and butter mixture.
6.    In a greased casserole, arrange bread and put raisins or dates on top of it.
7.    Pour the batter on the bread.
8.    Put in the oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
9.    Bread pudding is best when served warm.
We can also top the baked bread pudding with sauce that we desire. Then, we can indulge with this delish food with family and friends.
