Millions of people are suffering from any anxiety disorders all over the world. With the modern world we have today, anxiety disorders are few of the most common disorders people are suffering from.  Major types of anxiety include obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, phobia, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. There are several factors that trigger the development of these anxiety disorders. Some studies have proved that anxiety is hereditary which means if a family member has suffered from an anxiety disorder, his family is also at higher risk of suffering from it too. But this is not always the case. Some people who experience difficulty in life and some life-threatening and life-changing events are tend to develop some kind of anxiety disorder. These life experiences include poverty, sudden death of a loved one, loss of a job, violence, sex abuse, robbery, kidnapping, low socio-economic status and even bullying at school. Imbalanced brain chemistry and life experiences can also greatly contribute to the development of anxiety disorders. Problems in the regulation of neurotransmitters, the chemical messengers in the brain, can cause transmission of incorrect signals between brain cells that result to feeling of depression and stress. This imbalanced brain chemistry is usually due to unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, stressful environment, unsatisfactory sex life and difficult relationships. Depression due to anxiety is a very debilitating mental disorder and is often disabling as this can badly affect the patient’s mental and physical well-being.
