Avocados may not be one of the typical fruits that we regularly want to eat because they have quite a different, sometimes almost fatty taste. Sadly, most people do not have enough nutritional information about this fruit. Believe it or not, avocados have multiple benefits to bring to our body and there are also many who appreciate its taste as well. Avocados also have a variety of uses, it can be used as a natural cosmetic agent and its oil has culinary and health benefits as well.

The increasing concern for the environment and the recognition of the unhealthy consequences from the additives and preservatives of various artificial products gives the avocado a major advantage not only as a food, but as a cosmetic as well. More consumers are starting to like using basic and natural ingredients when it comes to make-up, skin moisturizer, hair conditioner and the like. The avocado’s oil is also proven to be a great and natural ingredient into these products.

Aside from this, avocados can also be an important part of a successful weight loss program. However, some people doubt on the capability of the avocados when it comes to weight control because of its high fat content, which is about 90% calories. But as some studies revealed, the avocado’s high fat content gives a quick feeling of fullness thus, reducing overeating and the temptation to eat foods that are high in sugar and saturated fats. A good tip is too use some of this fruit in smoothies or even fruit and vegetable juices to bulk them out. As long as your juicer machine is fairly modern, it should be able to handle the thicker consistency of avocado. When processing in a juicer extractor, it is a good idea to alternate pieces of avocado with juicier things like apples, to prevent the thick pulp from becoming too stuck in the machine.

Other health benefits that the avocado may bring to our body includes the prevention of breast cancer, lowers cholesterol level, prevents the formation of cancerous cells, protects the eyes from degeneration, cataracts and other eye diseases. In addition to this, avocados are also rich in vitamin E as well, which is essential in fighting any disease and also helps maintain overall health as well.
