9. Old Soldiers: Home Wrecker
- Destroy the Planetery Fortress in this “Old Soldiers” mission before the nuclear strike on Hard Difficulty.

Kerrigan ability setup: Automated Extractors, Twin Drones, Ability Efficiency, Kinetic Blast, Crushing Grip, Spawn Banelings,

Armies Setup: Zergling-Adernal Overload (Raptor Strain), Baneling – Corrosive Acid

Rather easy achievement. Just send all your armies to the middle of the map, and destroy the Planetary Fortress with your zergling and banelings. The reason why I use Corrosive Acid because this upgrade will increases your baneling’s building damage to 160 damage. This will increases your chances to destroy the Planetary Fortress a lot. To make it even easier, use your Kerrigan’s Kinetic Blast and Spawn Banelings on Planetary Fortress. Actually, you don’t have to worry to suicide your units and Kerrigan. Your goal is to get the achievement. Just reload the mission and play as usual after you got the achievement.

10. Waking The Ancient: Whack-A-Brakk
- Don’t let Brakk destroy any Biomass in the “waking The Ancient” mission on Hard Difficulty.

Kerrigan ability setup: Kinetic Blast, Crushing Grip, Improved Overlord, Wild Mutation

Armies Setup: Zergling-Adernal Overload (Raptor Strain), Baneling – Corrosive Acid (Hunter Strain), Roach – Hydriodic Bile (Vile Strain), Hydralisk – Grooved Spines

This mission, you need mobile units to prevent Brakk from kill-stealing your Biomass. I found that spreading the creep all over the map actually makes this mission easy. First of all, you need a stable economy, which it means that you need to grab second base as soon as possible. Mixing Queen, Hydralisk, and Roaches are recommended for early stage. You need anti-air as Brakk’s armies composition have a lot of powerful air unit; Guardian. And you can use the Queen to heal your armies.

But seriously, once your economy is stable and established, massing mutalisks are your best shot. Why? Because mass mutalisks are very strong in this mission, and they literally counter everything that Brakk can throw at you. Not to mention, mutalisks are very mobile. It is so easy for your mutalisks to intercept Brakk’s armies from destroying the Biomass. There is only one time that you need to split your froces to 2 groups because Brakk’s armies going to attack 2 biomass at different locations at the same time.

I would not recommend you to mass zergling as Brakk’s Ultraliks will completely stomp your zerglings. Building zergling in this mission is completely waste of resources and times.

11. The Crucible: Short Life Expectany
- Kill the Tyrannozor in under 1 minute after it appears in “The Crucible” mission on Hard Difficulty.

Kerrigan ability setup: Kinetic Blast, Crushing Grip, Improved Overlords, Wild Mutation

Armies Setup: Zergling-Adernal Overload (Raptor Strain), Baneling – Corrosive Acid (Hunter Strain), Roach – Hydriodic Bile (Vile Strain), Hydralisk – Grooved Spines, Mutalisk – Vicious Glave

Ummm well, Kerrigan’s abilities don’t really matter in this mission since she will not available for the rest of the mission. The only ability that still takes is her “Improved Overlords”. The Tyrannozor will appears in this mission at 11:30 seconds. So, make sure your armies already waiting at his spawn location before 11:30 seconds. I use at least 20 mutalisks to kill him. As for your forces, just build a lot of spine crawlers, and a few spores and Queens to defend your base. The Queen’s ability to heal is simply too useful in this mission. I don’t really worry much about the primal zerg’s attack because mass mutalisks basically can defend from everything in this mission, and you can use the locust if you found yourself in desperate situation.

12. Supreme: Whose Queen Reigns Supreme?
- Complete the “Supreme” mision in less than 12 minutes on Hard Difficulty.

Pretty straightforward mission. Just use your new-found Psionic Shift ability to pass through everything to the boss location, then rinse and repeat on the next boss and so on. Use Meld if your HP got too low. As for your armies, just burrow them the moment you can control them, so they won’t get killed by enemies or divert your concentration. Don’t worry about your burrowed armies as they will teleport to your location in the boss fight. As for the boss fight, just command your armies to focus-fire on the boss and spam Leaping Strike on the boss for optimal damage. You don’t have to worry about your armies as they will not make it alive most of the time.

13. With Friends Like These: Ludicrous Speed!
- Complete the “With Friends Like These…” mission in less than 11 minutes on Hard Difficulty.

There isn’t much trick you can do at this mission except micro better and make a better decision. Use your “Jump” frequently. Since you need to complete this mission before 11 minutes, skipping the Kel-Morian Operation quest is recommended here. And you shouldn’t waste your time go back to the space station for healing. That is why you should use the “repair bot” wisely. As for the minerals, you should max your your ship level as soon as possible. It helps a lot when your Hyperion is tougher and hit harder. I got the Hyperion at max level in 8 minutes, and complete the mission at 9:49 minutes and I destroyed every Merc Starport, Ordnance Tower and enemy forces. Always use your Yamato Cannon on the Ordnance Tower and Fighter Strike on the enemies airship.

14. Conviction: Fast Break
- Complete the “Conviction” Mission in less than 10 minutes on Hard Difficulty.

Kerrigan ability setup: Kinetic Blast, Chain Reaction, Meld, Infest Broodlings.

Armies Setup: Zergling-Adernal Overload (Raptor Strain), Baneling – Rupture (Hunter Strain), Roach – Hydriodic Bile (Vile Strain), Hydralisk – Grooved Spines (Impaler Strain)

Zergling is useless. The moment you get them, immediately morph them into banelings. Baneling is very useful because this mission has a lot of infantry units which extremely suspicious to baneling’s explosion. Even better if your baneling explosion increased. As for the hydralisk, it is up to you whether you want to morph them into impaler or not, although impaler can be extremely useful if you can micro them well.

As for Kerrigan, chain reaction + infest broodlings can be an awesome combo to create a lot of timed units to help you in this mission. In the middle of the mission, you will get 2 infestors, and you should use them to control the Terran Thor. Terran Thor is extremely powerful and valuable unit to have in your forces. Use Kinetic Blast to take down the siege tanks and use Meld to heals your units. I beat this mission at 9:24 minutes.

15. Infested: Once, Twice, Three Times Malady
- Complete “The Infested” mission before the Dominion Gas the platform a 3rd time on Hard Difficulty.

Kerrigan ability setup: Automated Extractors, Twin Drones, Fury, Kinetic Blast, Chain Reaction, Meld,

Armies Setup: Zergling – Adernal Overload (Raptor Strain), Baneling – Corrosive Acid (Hunter Strain), Roach – Hydriodic Bile (Vile Strain), Hydralisk – Grooved Spines (Impaler Strain), Swarm Host – Burrow (Carrion Strain)

Basically, you need to complete the mission before 17 minutes or else, you will not make it. To be frank, this mission is rather hard for me because the Terran was well-guarded and has a lot of siege tanks in the main base, and you actually don’t have much time to waste. So, what is the solution for this mission? Well, for me , it is mass banelings. Your goal is to destroy the Lab Entrance. I used at least 80+ banelings and 30+ zerglings to break through the Terran forces and focus-fire on the lab entrance. I did it at 15 minute in-game.

In order to make this strategy a success, you need to open a safe route for your banelings, and you should have do this as soon as you can control Kerrigan. Believe it or not, a single Kerrigan is actually quite capable to destroy Terran’s outer base, while at the mean time, you will use all of your minerals to produce zerglings at the your main base. The usual tactics for Kerrigan; Kinetic Blast the Siege Tank or Thor, Mend when necessary, and attack with your chain reaction when Kinetic Blast is on cooldown.

16. Hand of Darkness: Dominion Domination
-Kill 3 Hybrid Dominators with Terran Units in the “Hand of Darkness” mission on Hard Difficulty.

Kerrigan ability setup: Automated Extractors, Twin Drones, Ability Efficiency, Kinetic Blast, Psionic Shift, Meld, Apocalypse.

Armies Setup: Anything you like.

Well, you don’t need to use your infestors to mind-control Terran Unit to kill the Hybrids. All you need is to your use Kerringan and lure the hybrids to the Terran’s base, and escape with your Psionic Shift ability and heal with Meld if necessary. Yes, Terran armies in this mission are not friend with the hybrids. You can use this strategy against every Hybrid in this mission, provide you didn’t destroy the Terran’s base. The method is easier as you don’t have to waste your resources to kill the Hybrids. You can keep pumping your forces while the Terran kills Hybrid for you before you decided to destroy everything with your armies in this mission.
