17. Phantom of The Void: No-Toss
- Destroy all Protoss structures in the “Phantom of The Void” mission on Hard Difficulty.

Kerrigan ability setup: Automated Extractors, Twin Drones, Ability Efficiency, Kinetic Blast, Crushing Grip, Meld, Apocalypse -OR- Drop-Pod.

Armies setup: Roach – Hydriolic Bile (Vile Strain), Hydralisk – Grooved Spines,

Well, the best army compositions for this mission is mass roaches and hydralisks, and a few Ultralisks. Roach with Vile Strain basically makes every Protoss units that you were encountered into a weakling. First of all, you need to grab an expansion as soon as possible. I would recommend you to deactivated at least 4 temples before destroying Protoss bases. Also, remember to upgrade your weapon, and armor. Don’t be stingy. Go for double Evolution Chamber for faster upgrades. And of course, build at least 3 or more hatcheries in this mission, so you can rebuild your armies faster.

18. Planetfall: Crash The Party
- Destroy all Dominion structures in the “Planetfall” mission before the 5th Bile Launcher lands on Hard Difficulty.

Kerrigan ability setup: Automated Extractors, Twin Drones, Ability Efficiency, Kinetic Blast, Crushing Grip, Meld, Apocalypse -OR- Drop-Pod.

Armies setup: Roach – Hydriolic Bile (Vile Strain), Hydralisk – Grooved Spines, Ultralisk – Burrow Charge

This is rather easy achievement to do if your micromanagement and micromanagement are decent. My armies composition for this mission is ultralisks, roaches, and hydralisks. The reason why I chose Ability Efficiency for Kerrigan is because it reduced the Drop-Pod cooldown. Drop Pod is extremely powerful and useful in this mission. One drop pod on one of Terran base, and I can guaranteed that you can flatten the entire base with ease. Same as usual; your Kerrigan will use Kinetic Blast on Siege Tank or Thor, Mend if necessary, and Crushing Grip on multiple units for free hits.

In the early game, as soon as the Drop Pod ability is available, I will use it on the left Terran base and capture the area and set up your secondary base for more incomes. I am running at least 4 hatchery in this mission so I can re-max my armies fast in case I screwed up. With Ability Efficiency, you should able to use 3 drop pods before the 5th Bile Launcher landed in this mission. Destroying all Terran bases are easy, but there is one tricky part you need to know.

There are 2 turrets built on top of the cliff with no entrance. Many people missed it because people don’t usually bring overlord to battle or use mutalisks and zerglings in this mission because of time restraints. Here is the screenshot where the turrets located. You can use raptor zerglings to destroy it.

19. Death From Above

20. The Reckoning: Speed Bump
-Destroy the Odin in “The Reckoning” mission before Mengsk sends it at Raynor on Hard Difficulty.

Kerrigan ability setup: Automated Extractors, Twin Drones, Ability Efficiency, Kinetic Blast, Crushing Grip, Meld, Apocalypse.

Armies setup: Roach – Hydriolic Bile (Vile Strain), Hydralisk – Grooved Spines, Ultralisk – Burrow Charge or Tissue Assimilation (Torrasque strain).

The other zerg units are not exactly useful in this final mission since you are racing time against Mengsk’s Odin. Also, don’t bother with the Viper. Its ability; Abduct doesn’t work on Odin. I tried, and I regretted and I have to restart the entire campaign because of this.

Basically, your units composition is roach, hydralisk and ultralisk. With Torrasque strain and Tissue Assimilation, your ultralisk can tank better and you need it since Mengsk armies do a lot of damage. Your roach and hydralisk won’t able to last longer without Ultralisk at the frontline. Mengsk will sends Odin at Raynor around 22mins to 23 mins. So, try to destroy it before 22/23mins. Use Kerringan’s ultimate, Apocalypse when necessary. This ability can wipes out entire Mengsk’s fleets in one blow in extremely huge AOE. This will gives your armies a better position to hit Odin without losing your armies and times too much. Oh, by the way, Odin is located at in front Mengsk’s palace.

You need at least 2 bases. Try to grab the expansion near your right base as soon as possible. Also, try to put at least 6 spince crawler and spore at your expansion since Mengsk armies have the tendency to attack your expansion with vikings and banshees. You must not let your expansion base got wrecked nor bring your armies back to defend that expansion. You won’t have enough time to do that.

You need at least 4 or 5 macro hatcheries to continue your roaches and hydralisks production non-stop and rally them to your armies at all times. You only need around 6~8 ultralisks.
